Coconut Chutney

Coconut chutney is a  versatile side dish. Dosa, Idli, Poori, Upma or Chapati they are incomplete without coconut chutney.

Coconut Chutney
     
Preparation time :  10 mins    Total Time Taken : 15mins
             Serves : 5 people                 
           Ingredients:
 
Grated Fresh Coconut: 10Tbsp
Uddinbele(Uriddal) : 1 Tbsp
Green Chilies : 8 (adjust to taste)
Salt, Sugar, Tamarind (As needed)
    
Method :
1.       Fry Uriddal on a hot pan. When it starts browning, remove from the pan and place it on a plate to cool down.
2.       In a mixer grinder, take fried uriddal, green chilies, salt, sugar and tamarind. Grind to coarse powder. Add coconut and grind again. Add 2-3 Tbsp of water and grind it to a coarse to smooth paste as per your liking.
3.      Add oggarane and serve.
