Hi Laxmi,
Today I was browsing on Kannada poets on Net. Suddenly I realized I left a comment last week that 'ede tumbi haadidenu" is written by D R Bendre.
But I am sorry. It is written by G S Shivarudrappa. I am sorry for the mistake. Even though this song is so close to my heart, I forgot the name of the poet!!! sorry :-(

So true - we need to cultivate something, that sustains a life long interest! I have had many hobbies - but the interest does not last forever!! So far food blogging seems to have lasted a year at least :-)

hello lakshmi, chennagidira, correct aagi helidri nodi, kandeetha havyaasa beliskobekuri, everybody pass through this phase when they grow old i think, when children grow up, and you feel their needs of you gets on reducing i think, eega nodi blog maadodu ondu havyasa aagbittide !, i feel so happy i have made some friends whom i have never met at all, and talk about so many things!, as you were writing about your son, the same thing happens in my house and if i sing or listen to any hymns my children think i am quite upset about something :), a very nice post indeed enjoyed reading it and going back in the memory lane !

ನನ್ನದು ಕೂಡ ಹವ್ಯಾಸವೆಂದರೆ ಹಾಡೇ. ಅಯ್ಯೋ ಯಾವುದೇ ಕೆಲಸಮಾಡುತ್ತಿರಲಿ, ಕಚೇರಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕಂಪ್ಯೂಟರ್ನಲ್ಲಿರಲಿ, ಕಿವಿಗೆ ಹಾಕೊಂಡು ಅದರಲ್ಲೂ ಕನ್ನಡ ಹಾಡು ಕೇಳ್ತಾನೇ ಮಾಡೋದು. ಎಂಥ ಮಧುರ ಅಂತೀರ. ನನ್ನ ಮಗ ನಾನು ಹಾಡೋದನ್ನೆ ಕೇಳ್ತ ಕೇಳ್ತ ಅವನು ಎಷ್ಟೊಂದು ಹಾಡನ್ನು ಈಗ ಹೇಳ್ತಾನೆ.

dont worry, go ahead and join a music class and dedicate 1-2 hrs every week. many adults are learning music at SIFAS. onde time nalli maganna art ge haki nivu music ge will be FUNtastic.

ನಿಜ, ಲೈಫ್ನಲ್ಲಿ ಹವ್ಯಾಸ್ ಇರ್ಬೇಕು. ನನ್ನ ಹವ್ಯಾಸ್ ಅಂದ್ರೆ ಪುಸ್ತಕ ಓದೋದು ಮತ್ತು ಹಾಡು ಹಾಡೋದು. ನನಗೂ ಹಾಡು ಹಾಡೋದು ತುಂಬಾ ಇಷ್ಟ. ನನಗೆ ಹಾಡಬೇಕು ಅನ್ನಿಸಿದಾಗ, ನಾನು ಹಾಡಬಿಡ್ತೀನಿ. ಅದೇ ದ.ರ. ಬೇಂದ್ರೆ ಹಾಡಿನ ಹಾಗೆ " ಎಲ್ಲ ಕೇಳಲಿ ಎಂದು ನಾನು ಹಾಡುವದಿಲ್ಲ, ಹಾಡುವದು ಅನಿವಾರ್ಯ ಕರ್ಮ ಎನಗೆ .....'
