Sapaada Bhakshya is Satyanarayana pooja prasadam. If you are someone who does this pooja every Fullmoon day of the month, you will find this post extremely useful. Small qty, quick & easy to prepare are the positives to this post.

Sapaada Bhakshya

Recipe By: Anuradha Kashi

Makes 1tbspoon Prasaada

Ingredients:

Semolina (Rave) : 1tsp
Ghee: 1tsp
Water : 2tsp
Milk: 1tsp
Sugar: 1tsp
Raisins: 2
Cashewnut: 1

Method:

Keep all your ingredients in the spoons separately.
1.In a small pan, add a tsp ghee. Add raisins and broken cashewnut. Fry till they turn golden brown.
2.Add a tsp of semolina, fry for 2 secs. Add in 2tsp of water and 1 tsp of milk. Takes about less than a minute for the mixture to come to boil.
3. Add sugar and continue to stir and cook for next 40 sec to 1 minute. Switch off the stove.
4. Transfer the prasaada to a bowl and offer it to Lord Satyanarayana Swamy.

ಮನವೆಂಬ ಮಂಟಪ ಬೆಳಕಾಗಿದೆ
ಹರಿನಾಮದಾ ಮಂತ್ರವೇ ತುಂಬಿದೆ
ಎಂದೆಂದು ಸ್ತಿರವಾಗಿ ನೀನಿಲ್ಲಿರು
ನನ್ನಲ್ಲಿ ಒಂದಾಗಿ ಉಸಿರಾಗಿರು
 
ನನಗಾಗಿ ಏನನ್ನು ನಾ ಬೇಡೆನು
ಧನಕನಕ ಬೇಕೆಂದು ನಾ ಕೇಳೆನು
ಈ ಮನೆಯು ನೀನಿಇರುವ ಗುಡಿಯಾಗಲಿ
ಸುಖ ಶಾಂತಿ ನೆಮ್ಮದಿಯ ನೆಲೆಯಾಗಲಿ
 
ಕಣ್ಣೀರ ಅಭಿಷೇಕ ನಾ ಮಾಡಿದೆ
ಕರುನಾಳು ನೀ ನನ್ನ ಕಾಪಾಡಿದೆ
ಬರಿದಾದ ಮಡಿಲನ್ನು ನೀ ತುಂಬಿದೆ
ನಾ ಕಾಣದಾನಂದ ನೀ ನೀಡಿದೆ.

Thanks lakshmi. Cam microwave this recipe also. Normally I'll running around to get puje items ready and also make prasada. so at times microwave works better. at least it does not burn....

Pooje chennagi aaytu anta ankondini. Haadu chennagide.We add chopped banana to this.

On saturday, there was Satyanarayana pooja in our local Hanuman mandir in alpharetta. Someone sang that wonderful song...
